This is such a great  photo because it shows the hand hewn chestnut beams as well as one of the stumps the house was built upon. 

Big thanks to Bobby, Kristen, Craig and Alison for beginning the house washing and paint scrapping process. This old girl is about to get some fresh white paint!!! Painting party TODAY!!! 6:00pm. All you can eat hot dog roast :)

Please join us for an evening of dancing, marshmallow roasting and fireside sitting as we celebrate our progress restoring the Burner Homeplace. We will be giving tours of the interior and sharing future plans for the Homeplace as it becomes a museum, art gallery and community art center.
 
Local musicians, Kelsey Beverage and Joanna Burt-Kinderman will be providing music with special guest Henry Barnes, a renowned fiddle player from Clifftop, WV.
 
We will be taking donations for the next phase of renovation. The next phase includes replacing porches, replacing a section of interior flooring, restoring windows and installing new plumbing.
 
Bring a chair if you would like, BYOB and bring your friends!!
